Slow down, it's not a race (unless you want it to be)
Signs like these are fairly common in Europe, and still, whenever I look at this Rorschach-esque sign, I always see the profile of a paunchy man, lying on his back, sprawled across the middle of the road.
So when I was walking around London at night and stumbled across this intersection, I found the juxtaposition of the two pieces of text (on the sign and in the street) to be extra-amusing.
(Cultural question: what does it mean that the British sign focuses on distance, while the French sign focuses on speed?)
